THE JUMBO BOX BRAIDS HAIR EXTENSIONS

What is Hair Braiding. Hair Braiding is the interweaving of strands of hair to form a rope for Single Plaits; interweaving of strands of hair on a pre-determined track for Cornrows; and intertwining of strands of hair for Twist. Braids can be done on all hair types. Braids are healthy when done on a healthy head of client’s natural hair but can be damaging when used on someone whose hair is already damaged.Jumbo Box Braids from World of Braiding Braids should not be held tight on the client’s scalp as this leads to traction alopecia but they should be held firmly so they don’t drop off from the client’s head.
What makes a difference between types of braids varies from how a braid is sectioned or divided ready for the strands and the hair extensions type used on the braids.
For the Jumbo braids, what you need is a medium sized section of client’s hair braided with a large size of kanekalon or synthetic hair extensions. The more extensions you add to the strands the larger your hair strand will look and the better the strand of jumbo braids you will have. This style is currently very popular at the moment as it has been made glamorous by Solange Knowles.

Can you get natural hair in braids (box braids or cornrows)?

PLEASE DONT TELL ME YOU CANT GROW YOUR HAIR WITH BRAIDS!!
I already have it on. So Anyway,
I first had braids for 1 week. I took it off cause it would always fall/came out.
Then the next day i had cornrows for 2 weeks. And now i am having braids again for 4 weeks
So after i take my braids down will it be natural?? I really dont want the big chop!! So please help me out here!!!

Hey Kailey,
Yes you will. The roots will be natural and then you will have relaxed ends. Hair grows about 1/2 inch a month with proper care. so in 4 weeks you will have about 1/2 inch of new growth (natural hair)
Braids are a great way of transitioning to natural hair just make sure you are taking care of your hair when braided by moisturizing everyday.
There are other ways to transition just in case you get bored with braids like weaves, wigs, twists etc. Check out other great tips for transitioning on the link below. I hope i helped and good luck with your hair journey:))
